Student Intern - Marketing Division
(Three Month Assignment, Part-Time)

DESCRIPTION
Under the immediate supervision of the director of marketing, the intern will perform a variety of duties related to the management and responsibilities of the marketing department.

ESSENTIAL / MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions:    Assists in the day-to-day marketing functions and operations duties of the corporate marketing department; Assists the marketing director in the management and maintenance of sales and marketing data and archives;      
Marginal Functions:
 Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of:
   Basic management or marketing principles and practices.
Ability to:     Plan, organize, and coordinate workload; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; operate a personal computer; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time and operating assigned office equipment;  maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading and writing, and operating assigned office equipment; and maintain mental capacity which allows for effective interaction and communication with others.

Knowledge and proficiency in computer software and graphics, including word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail, etc., are highly desirable

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education:
Freshman, Sophomore or Junior level in an accredited college or university with a business, business management, business administration, or marketing major
Experience:
Previous marketing experience preferred.  Heavy general office experience considered.
Special Qualifications: Candidate must possess a current overall GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
A valid Delaware Class or equivalent driver's license.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
PCGi requires documentation of a candidate’s identity and authorization to work in the United States prior to finalization of employment. The successful candidate may be required to have a medical examination or complete a medical history.

HOURS
Employment in this classification will not exceed twenty (15) hours per week during school year, and twenty (20) hours per week during school breaks. 

TERM
The planned length of employment is three (3) months.  After the initial term, Performance Consultants Group, Inc. has the option of renewing the intern for an additional three month term.  

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Compensation for each term is one thousand dollars ($1,000.00).

Applications will be evaluated for qualifications, education, and experience. Those successfully passing will be placed on an eligibility list for further consideration.
